How to master the technique of effective proposal writing?

Writing for a business proposal is not a simple task. A writer needs a lot of skill and experience for drafting an effective and result oriented proposal.

There are a few tips and tricks to keep in mind while writing an offer letter. The main objective of drafting an offer letter is not to simply make an offer of the products or services of an organization but to propose the offer as a solution to a customer’s problems. The letter should be written in such a manner so that it should appear as a profitable investment to a customer and not an extra expenditure. The main purpose is to initiate the business between the merchant and the customer.    

Create the content that is fresh and crisp to read for a reader. Begin with an introduction or short summary in which you mention about your main idea. A prospective reader’s time should be respected. He should be instantly provided with a gest of the complete proposal rather than he should be made to flip through the pages to look for meaning. Mention about the budget in the introduction or in an executive summary itself. However, you should not use the word ‘budget’ as it sounds as expenditure. You can instead use the word ‘investment’ so that a reader gets a clear idea of writing a proposal and the money that it might take to give fruitful returns to a customer as an ‘investment’. Once you are through with the task of presenting an introduction, next step is to prepare content for company profile. This section adds to the authenticity and credibility to the proposal that you have made. The next section includes a description of the main offer made. This is essential as it enables a customer to go through the complete analysis of the proposal. Here, a person can also give a reason to a customer that why should he initiate the business. In the conclusion paragraph, you can summarize all the points along with your main offer.         

All the above mentioned points should be considered while writing a business proposal.
