DUI is a crime. The implementation of this law was triggered by the fact that vehicular and road accidents continue to increase with drunk driving as the main cause. If you have been charged with DUI in NH or in any other state for that matter, you are left with no choice but to suffer the consequences of committing this violation of the law. Here below are the consequences to having been charged with DUI and the facts about the law that you need to know. Being caught drunk driving in NH or in other states will first have you arrested. And being arrested entails getting behind bars for a range of a couple hours to a couple of days depending on the state you were caught in. And there’s more. You will also probably have to surrender your driving license. Again, depending on what state you were caught, you might be given a temporary driving license that would vary in its validity from state to state. With this time, you should already be able to request for a DMV hearing in court because failure to do so will mean a suspension of your license for another couple or more months.
